 Make A Joyful Noise!
"For the Lord is in His Holy Temple, let all others keep silence before Him!" Amen. This is indeed an exciting time of the year at Flipper. Not only are we gearing up for the Annual Florida Conference, to be held this month at Bethel AME Church-Tallahassee, but August marks the official kick-off of Flipper's highly anticipated Diamond Jubilee! Throught the coming 12 months of 2001-2002 Flipper Chapel will be celebrating its 75th Anniversary. That's right, 75 years of serving Christ, Church, and Community. To date, the final touches for the coming year are still underway and much input is welcomed by Pastor Bell from the congregation regarding the direction the Jubilee is to take. One thing is for certain--the planning committee is placing heavy emphasis on several community outreach initiatives to increase Flipper's viable presence in the surrounding area. We truly hope all Flipperites will get involved and get excited about all that is in store...for Flipper Chapel is definately movin' on up! Other highly anticipated events touted for this month include the Laity's 50 States Program; an two-day economic empowerment seminar hosted by the Dove Express, and Flipper's first ever Open House Night. Once again, we encourage all Flipperites to help participate with the Jubilee festivities and assist in insuring the occasion will be one more for the history books. Well, as always, if you live in or plan to visit our beautiful city of Tallahassee, don't forget to stop by and help us sing His praises for--at the "Little Church in the Bond Community Where Everybody is Somebody Special!"--you are always most certainly welcome.
