 Let There Be Praise!
Praise the Lord! It can hardly be believed, however, this special issue marks the one year anniversary of Praise! One year ago we set out on an endeavor to provide the members of Flipper Chapel with a convenient online source of current events and other tidbits relevant to our humble church. It was our goal to be useful and informative while highlighting many of the exciting happenings at Flipper that continue to enhance the worshipful experiance within our sanctuary. Well, not only have we accomplished this task, our ministry in print has become much, much, more to many people within and without the Flipper Family. It is very pleasing to note that Praise reaches far more readers than those among our congregation. Our guestbook alone is a living testimony to this reality. Throughout the year, we have been please to provide our readers not just church and community news items, but also informative profiles of various Flipperites of all ages, insightful articles on the many different aspects of the AME Church, and inspirational pieces authored by numerous guest contributors to help uplift your spirit, feed your soul and glorify the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As we continue to tarry on our way, we at Praise promise to never deviate from our original goal while we constantly search for new ways to be of use to all of our readers at home, here at Flipper Chapel, and abroad. This month, not only do we unveil a "new look", but within this special issue, in addition to the latest happenings at Flipper, we also look back on past issues and revisit some of our favorite testimonies, remembrances, and other inspiring and uplifting pieces that have graced the "e-pages" of Praise. Also, to commemmorate our first anniversary and continuing in our mission to "praise" those members of our congregation without whose devotion and dedication the success that is Flipper would hardly be possible, Praise announces our first annual "Flipperites of the Year" honorees. We certainly hope you enjoy the reading and remain grateful for your coninued patronage and support. Oh, and as always, if you live in or plan to visit our beautiful city of Tallahassee, don't forget to stop by and help us sing His praises for--at the "Little Church in the Bond Community Where Everybody is Somebody Special!"--you are always most certainly welcome.
