In The Pulpit
Rev. Ralph L. Wilson (Click for more info.) This month In The Pulpit once again respectfully honors Rev. Ralph L. Wilson, presiding elder of the Tallahassee District. We are quite pleased to announce that Rev. Wilson will be the keynote speaker during Flipper's first annual Remembrance Day Observance on Sunday, March 25. As the presiding elder of the Tallahassee District and one who has been no stranger to Flipper and it's humble congregation, Rev. Wilson is certainly in an position to be best equipped to add proper perspective as we reflect on the lives and past deeds of those of our number who have been called to rest after many, many years of devoted service to our great church. Additional pulpit guests at Flipper include Daymon Miller who will be the keynote speaker during Greek Day on Youth Sunday, March 11; and Tallahassee's own Judge Nikki Clark, who gained worldwide attention during the 2000 Florida Election crisis. Judge Clark will be on hand to deliver the address during our 6th Annual Friends and Family Day observance on March 18. |

He Hath Done Great Things!
Our God is definitely a wonderful God! My fellow Flipperites and friends, it is hard to believe but we have already reached the mid-way point in the 2000-2001 Conference year. Thus far, Flipper has truly been blessed. We have burned the mortgage (Hallelujah!), we have erected our beautiful new marquee (Hallelujah!); we have been inspired by the uplifting, and motivating words of our very own Bro. Charles ("Mr. FAMU") Lattimore during Orange and Green Day, not to mention all the other inspirational guests that have graced our pulpit (Hallelujah!); and we warmly welcomed our Bishop, the Right Reverend John Hurst Adams, into our beloved sanctuary (Amen!). These are just some of the more memorable occurrences we have celebrated at Flipper just thus far. Our Heavenly Father only knows what more wonderful blessings are in store for our church in the latter-half of the conference year. And my, do we have a great deal before us in this month alone! March will see Flipper getting "in step" with FAMU's vibrant student body once again as we observe Greek Day on the 11th. Then, on the 18th we will celebrate our highly anticipated Annual Friends and Family Day. Of special note, Praise will be sponsoring Remembrance Day, our first-ever "calendar event" at Flipper. Intended as a time when we as a church might pause and reflect on the lives of those devoted passed-souls who contributed tirelessly to the greatness of Flipper, Remembrance Day Weekend will begin with a prayer breakfast on Saturday, March 24th and end following a specially-planned worship service on Sunday, March 25th. We truly hope that you mark your calendars to be on hand for all of these faith-infused events as we are certain the Holy Spirit will be in attendance. As we oft-say, thank you my friends for your continued fellowship and support and, of course, if you live in or plan to visit our beautiful city of Tallahassee, don't forget to stop by and help us sing His praises for--at the "Little Church in the Bond Community Where Everybody is Somebody Special"--you are always most certainly welcome.
